Flashback on Teachers' TV

Teachers’ TV is a new digital channel aimed at the professional development of teachers and those who work in schools and Flashback TV is proud to have been producing programmes for them since their start in 2004. In fact, in just over two and a half years of production we’ve delivered over 135 programmes and are currently in production with the number 158!

Our team of experienced education producers works over a range of subject areas as well as broad education issues. From observational documentaries to programmes exploring specific aspects of a single lesson; from programmes exploring various roles in schools, to programmes about assessment, personalized learning and the Every Child Matters initiative. We’ve filmed all over the country as well as in a refugee camp in Ghana. We’ve featured innovative teaching assistants as well as human rights lawyer Cherie Booth QC. We’ve spent a term following two primary NQTs (newly qualified teachers) as well as a term with an experienced History teacher. We’ve shown teachers how they can keep fit and healthy as well as ways to work with children experiencing family breakup. We’ve featured a huge range of schools as well as some big names in the education world. Part of the joy of this work is the intellectual challenge of making programmes for an expert audience as well as developing good working relationships with the teachers and staff involved.  We are currently developing programme ideas in the UK and abroad and look forward to the next 150!

Here are some of our programmes being transmitted in January and February 2007.
These are first transmission dates only – the channel does multiple repeats within the weeks following these dates and the programmes then become available to download from their website www.teachers.tv
