Over the next ten weeks, she will suggest menus for every weekend, from all-day breakfasts to grand dinner parties. In the opening programme she concentrates on speed - whether it’s knocking up a midweek supper for friends or a TV dinner. Thus there are cheese sandwiches with a difference, trusty larder stand-bys, an aromatic pumpkin curry and salt and pepper squid. For those with a sweet tooth, her orange ice cream is simplicity itself.
