FLASHBACK PRODUCES YOUNG TALENT

Flashback Television is proud to announce that Gareth Johnson has been "Highly Commended" in the Best Young Editor category of the B+ Young Talent Awards, held at The Production Show on May 22 2002. "This is a great achievement against fantastically tough competition", says Flashback MD Taylor Downing. There were only two other "High Commendations" out of all nine categories at the awards, which are likely to become known as the Young BAFTA's..

Gareth joined the company in 1997 as a runner, with the firm conviction that he wanted to become a picture editor. Given his break to edit Battle Stations in 2000, he has since edited 12 programmes in the Battle Stations series, along with Hitler's Brides, sequences for Nigella Bites II, and Friends for Dinner all for Channel 4.

It is an important part of FLASHBACK policy to encourage young talent internally within the company and to offer training opportunities for all its staff along with opportunities for the younger members of the company to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of production. .
