FLASHBACK ARCHIVE LIBRARY

Flashback Television holds an extensive archive of material collected since the inception of the company in 1982.

Catalogued by Flashback’s film archivist David Ross, the library contains the following material:

• Landscapes, townscapes and scenics throughout Great Britain and Ireland - ranging from the vitality of Spitalfields Market (before its refurbishment) to beautiful scenics of Glencoe and the Isle of Skye
• Historically important locations – from Dunottar Castle, the scene of Cromwell’s siege in 1651, to the First World War graves at Tyncote and the Somme 
• Material of contemporary political importance – including Orange Marches through Belfast, the comings and goings at Downing Street (1990), and Diana’s funeral (1997) 
• A large collection of garden and gardening-oriented material from the UK, USA and Japan

Conditions of Use

• Duration of licence period is five years
• Licences are additionally negotiable for ten years and in perpetuity
• Usage over and above the minimum will be invoiced separately
• Minimum royalty is payable on supply of broadcast copies and is not refundable
• All prices exclude VAT
• A declaration of usage, or non-usage, is always required
• Where possible a Flashback Television credit must be included in any final programme that uses Flashback archive material
