Ingrid Falck is Head of Education and Executive Producer for all the Education Department’s programming including a significant output for Teachers TV.

A BAFTA and RTS winner and an experienced Producer and Director, Ingrid came to Flashback in 2004 to oversee the production of their slate of commissions for Teachers’ TV. The Education Department is prolific, currently producing around one and a half programmes a week. These include such diverse areas as: TTV’s ‘Inspirations – A West African Story’ (winner of the 2007 UNICEF prize at the Japan Prize); the acclaimed observational documentary series filmed in Palestine ‘Two Schools in Nablus’ for both TTV and Al Jazeera English; a series of Video Podcasts for the British Council set in Thailand; a number of programmes for specialist agencies like London Gifted and Talented;  TTV’s ‘From Good To Outstanding’, a re-commissioned format series around teacher development, as well as hundreds of specialist subject programmes for education professionals.

Before coming to Flashback, Ingrid produced a wide range of factual programmes and some drama for British and international broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Canal +, Discovery, the History Channel, Disney, TV Ontario and others. Amongst her credits are: Director of the year-long observational series ‘Game Park’, exploring post-apartheid tensions in one of South Africa’s oldest game reserves; Director of ‘Museum Mysteries of Red Square’ in Moscow plus several programmes in the international travel/history series ‘Streets of the World’ in Paris, Barcelona and St Petersburg; Producer of the award-winning ‘Long Journey of Clement Zulu’ about South African political prisoners’ release from Robben Island prison; Producer/Director of ‘The Au Pair Story’ a current affairs look at exploitation in UK homes and Producer/Director of ‘Colour Me Loud’ about self-advocacy for people with learning disabilities.

She also made a number of specialist programmes for and about education and children, from the award-winning winning ‘Film Focus – Animation: Food Commercials’ for 4 Learning, to the youth drama ‘As Seen on TV’ for BBC Schools as well as a number of documentaries. She was Story Producer on Disney’s ‘Circus Kids’, Writer/Director for the long-running pre-school series ‘Bush Tails’ for C4/TV Ontario, Producer of ‘New Approaches to Drama’ for BBC Schools and Series Producer of ‘Working Week’ for 4 Learning.
