Flashback Television Company Profile

Flashback Television was founded in 1982 and produces a wide variety of factual entertainment programmes for broadcasters in the UK and around the world. These include historical documentaries and drama-docs, along with a range of lifestyle programming including gardening, cooking, travel and leisure programmes. 2006 will see Flashback's first full-length drama commission.

In the UK Flashback currently has many hours of programming in production for the BBC and Channel Four. We have worked for all the other major British broadcasters including ITV, Five and BSkyB.

Flashback also produces many hours of programming each year for the UK Government-backed channel Teachers’ TV.

Flashback has a long track record of production in the international market. We are currently producing series direct for North American broadcasters Arts & Entertainment Television Networks and Discovery. We have also co-produced several major projects with FR2 in France.

Flashback also produces interactive material including the website History Quest for Channel 4 Learning.

In November 2001 its regional operation Flashback Bristol opened for business, and has been in production ever since.
