FLASHBACK BRISTOL

Flashback Television has made a long-term commitment to the South West region of the UK.

Flashback Television opened a production operation known as Flashback Bristol in November 2001. Flashback Television has purchased the freehold to the Flashback Bristol offices, which are situated in Clifton, close to the BBC and post-production facilities.

MD Taylor Downing explains, "Flashback Television has strong ties with Bristol, and there is a pool of excellent talent in this city. Flashback Bristol will not be an overflow for productions that have been initiated in London. It will stand on its own reputation and the quality of work produced there but Flashback Television will ensure that the operation has all the support that it needs to grow."

The first commission for Flashback Bristol was a six part series "No 57 The History of a House" for Channel 4 Television. The series traced the social history of the families living in a house in Bristol from the late eighteenth century to the present day.

Subsequent commissions have been:

Superhomes (6 x 60) for BBC

Profiles (8 x 30) for BBC

55 Days: The Fall of Saigon (1 x 90) for BBC and FR2

Roni Size (1 x 30) for BBC

Superhomes (15 x 30) for Discovery

Secret Life of the Classroom (1 x 60) for Channel 4
